Pink Bunny Jig Nymph
The Pink Bunny is a straightforward pattern. I use a standard trout-fly thread in tan to match the body. Then I secure the slotted bead. The short tuft or 'tail' is the tip of a natural dun CDC feather. The ribbing, which I prefer to counter-wrap, is baby pink XF wire. The counter-wraps reinforce the hare's ear dubbing which is simply wrapped forward to form the body. I use blended fur from a hare's mask. Then I finish the fly with two series of knots and a drop of cement. Although I certainly was not the first to use these light metallic pink beads, I am the original designer of the Pink Bunny. Give it a try some time.
